A good cup of coffee is something we often find ourselves needing during the working day! Whether you need a quick break and a comforting latte to get yourself ready for a busy afternoon or you are looking for a central place to meet a friend, you will want to find somewhere cosy with good coffee always guaranteed.
Considering that, we are going to take a look at some of the best coffee shops in Southwark. We have tried them all so that you do not have to!
Coffee Bike – Only a 2 minute walk away from our Borough office, Coffee bike is our nearest and most dependable source of a great cup of coffee. They claim the “Coffee tastes as good as the bike looks”, and we agree. But don’t take our word for it, try it out yourselves.
Birds Hill Coffee – This is our favourite independent coffee ‘garage’, and a hidden Gem when it comes to fantastic Coffee. This small coffee shop and roastery is located only 4 minutes away from our Borough office, so be sure to pay it a visit next time you are out for a Coffee.
Origin Coffee – Origin Coffee was founded back in 2004, and it recently re-opened back in the Southwark area at the end of September. Their ethical ethos, which is driven by their sustainable triple bottom line approach, is what makes them stand out from a lot of the other coffee stores in the area. Their speciality coffee is to die for, lightly roasted so that the beans are respected, as they say themselves. If you consider yourself a bit of a coffee connoisseur, Origin Coffee should not disappoint.
Lantana Cafe – You can also get a good coffee and lots of tasty treats at Lantana Cafe. Not only is this cafe known for providing good coffee, but their brunch is famous. So, if you are meeting a client early in the day, this could be the perfect spot to do so. Or, why not head here on your break and treat yourself?
Little & Fresh Coffee Shop – A small coffee shop, but a real treat. You will find this coffee shop situated under the railway bridge in Southwark Bridge Road. If you are someone who gets the train into work every day, this is a great place to pick up your morning coffee on the way. You can expect all of the good stuff, from cappuccinos to expressos.
Southwark Park Pavilion Cafe – Another great place to grab a delicious coffee and a bite to eat! Southwark Park Pavilion Cafe is especially popular during the summer months, as they also specialize in delicious ice creams. Cool down with ice cream or get warm with a coffee!
Monmouth Coffee – Last but not least, Monmouth Coffee Company has several premises across London, with seating areas available and takeaway drinks and pastries on offer. Their coffee tastes incredible, and you can even buy some for yourself if you would like to recreate the flavour and texture at home. You won’t regret it.
